Maj Gen Vishal Agarwal, SM is an alumni of RIMC, Dehradun & NDA Khadakwasla. He was commissioned into 12 GUARDS in Dec 1990.
During the service the Gen Offr has acquired distinct qualifications which includes staff course from DSSC, Wellington, the Higher Command Course from Army War College, Mhow, he is also a graduate of the National Defence College, New Delhi. In a Career spanning over 35 years, the Gen Officer has a wide experience of Command, Staff and Instructional assignments on both Western and Northern Fronts. He commanded 19 GUARDS, 180 Armd Bde and HQ J&B Sub Area. He has been an Instructor at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. Amongst the important Staff assignments, he has been a Bde GSO-1 of HQ 2 (I) Armd Bde; Director, Perspective Planning Dte, Army HQ. Brig Adm, HQ Northern Comd as well as BGS,33 Corps deployed on the Northern Front and MGGS (REDFOR) at HQ ARTRAC. He assumed the appointment of GOC, Dakshin Maharashtra and Goa Sub Area on 16 Oct 2025. He is now the Chairman of QMTI Trust.

1.A 1990 Batch Army Officer Major General Anurag Vij, is an alumnus of National Defence Academy Khadakvasala, Indian Military Academy Dehradun, Defence Service Staff College Wellington & College of Defence Management Secunderabad.
2.The General officer has an illustrious military career, spanning over 34 years. He has held a number of prestigious Command, Staff and Instructional appointments across the length and breath of our country.
3.During his service the General Officer has participated in OPERATION RAKSHAK OPERATION VIJAY and OPERATION PARAKRAM. He has been decorated with Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card twice.
4.The General Officer is an avid Golfer and loves Horse Riding. He assumed the Command of Dakshin Maharashtra & Goa Sub Area on 01 May 2024.
5. The General Officer is married to Mrs Sheetal Vij and they have a son Mr Sohum Vij.
